The Danish Footbag Championships is always a special weekend. Wether it be a big tournament at Grand in Ålborg or The Gray Hall in Christiania or just a small gathering in the legendary (in danish footbag) gym at Øster Farimagsgade School in Copenhagen. This year it was at the gym. The weekend was filled with hardcore shred, fun partying, tabletennis, old friends and new tricks. Another highlight was Denmark beating our archnemesis Sweden and qualify for the World Championships in South Africa.

The Peoples Voice:

What was your experience of the 2009 DFC?

Nis: ” It was a cozy event.”

Lise: “Fun and good times. Just like the previous years”

What was your favorite moment from this years Championship?

Nis: ”When Rune won the Request Contest.“

Lise: ”The Dukes wonderful food”

What would you like to see different next year?

Lise: ”I would like medals instead of silly plastic cups.”

Is Kim really the best at 4square in Denmark?

Kim AKA The Duke: ”Yes he is!”

Rasmus: ” No. But he is most definitely the must vicious, conniving puppeteer enrolled in the danish footbag scene, and this obviously gives him certain advantages when it comes to the exploitation of young, naive boys who have not quite understood the rules nor purpose of the game. Kim's general strategy in life is to be cruel to animals in order to get what he wants. This strategy apparently works, but it has absolutely nothing to do with 4square.”
